For National Poetry Month [Untitled #9]

Dry-Humping Parnassus

on and on shadows of bugs 
crawling inside the lampshade 
sheets pushed back on and on 
the oscillating fan on the nightstand 
droning on and on past 2am about sports the weather 
on and on past the death of August on and finally I just
strangled the other poem that belonged here and got it over with
